The Beginning…

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made (John 1:1-3).

The word, who is Christ was not from the beginning, but He was in the beginning. Being in the beginning makes the word one with the beginning and therefore the same as the beginning. Before anything began, the beginning was. Included in the beginning is the end. Christ does not have an end, the end is in Him. Jesus said of Himself that He is the beginning and the end (Revelation 21:6). Beginning here does not connotes the time and space at which something begins, but refers to the realm of eternity, which Christ embodies. Everything that is in the beginning or in Christ is in the end state. This implies that it is fulfilled, finished or abolished.

The believer is born of the incorruptible word of God that remains, and abide forever (eternity/the beginning) (1 Peter 1:23). The believer in Christ is an end or a finished product. We are told by the prophet Isaiah that one of the function of God is “Declaring the end from the beginning…” (Isaiah 46:10). God is declaring that which is already finished, fulfilled or abolished in Christ, not your short coming so that you may aligned with His opinion concerning you.

Before anything is, the Word of God was. He pre-existed everything and all things are complete and consist in Him. God has incorporated man to “the beginning” that man may exist by the life of the one who is “the beginning”. For this reason, Christ said that;

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning (John 15:26-27).

Man originates in “the beginning” and in “the beginning” man is complete. This is the principal truth that determines the spiritual, mental, social, financial and physical strength and success of our life. When you understand that your origin (beginning) is from God, you will know your true purpose in life and will avoid the destructive pursuit of natural necessities which are earthly resources meant to be an addendum for our pleasure and contentment. We originate from God for one purpose, which is to live, walk and have our being in the beginning (the word of God/Christ). We are to live our life with the awareness of being in the presence of God. The apostle John told us that the word was not alone in the beginning, but that the word was with God. You should see things through the spiritual lenses of Christ redemptive work. You should see God’s victory in everything, even when you find yourself in the worse circumstances. Victory and not condemnation is the outcome of God’s judgment over the world (Matthew 12:20. Instead of death, God has given the life of Christ. Instead of sin, God has given the righteousness of Christ. Instead of poverty, God has given the riches of Christ. Instead of curses, God has given the blessings of Christ. Instead of sickness, God has given the strength of Christ. Instead of shame, God has given the glory of Christ. Instead of weakness, God has given the power of Christ. Instead of the race of slaves, God has established a royal family.

You are not only in Christ, time and space are also. All your circumstances are now in Christ. God has designed them to work for your good (Romans 8:28). Do not waver over any circumstance-good or bad, but perceive it from the vantage point of victory in Christ. Before this day existed, it began and ended in Christ with the Father’s approval of it being very good. This is true also of your marriage, career, business, ministry or any other venture.

Declaration for justification

I am complete in Christ. Christ is my life. I stand boldly in the judgment of God, for victory is the sentence of His Judgment concerning me in every sphere of life. I put my trust in God alone and I shall not be moved. I live for a higher purpose: Knowing Christ and the meaning of who He is to me.

Pearl for the day

You were from the beginning before anything existed. Do not define yourself by anything except Christ.
